Privacy Policy

When you create a VETO account, we may collect your email address, username, display name, and authentication identifiers from the sign-in provider you choose.

We also collect the content you create on VETO, including trades you submit, votes and trade judgments you cast, GM Scores and account activity, saved VETO receipts, and any optional context you choose to add to a trade.

To enforce anonymous voting limits and prevent duplicate voting, VETO assigns an anonymous visitor identifier to browsers and stores it locally. We may also collect basic technical information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the service, such as browser type, device type, and IP address.

VETO does not intentionally request sensitive information such as financial account details, Social Security numbers, health information, or precise location through normal product use. Please do not send us sensitive information unless we explicitly ask for it.

We use the information we collect to create and maintain your VETO account, authenticate you, save your voting and trade history, calculate GM Scores, generate community trade results, and prevent duplicate voting, abuse, and fraud on the service.

We also use information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve VETO, and to communicate with you about your account or the service when necessary.

VETO is built around community features. Usernames, display names, GM Scores, total vote counts, submitted trades, trade results, and similar community-facing information may be publicly visible when associated with public VETO features such as leaderboards, trade feeds, and shared receipts.

Individual email addresses, authentication credentials, and other account credentials are not intended to be publicly displayed. Please choose a public username and display name that you are comfortable sharing with the community.

Votes you cast may be combined with votes from other users to generate aggregated community results, percentages, trends, player sentiment, trade analysis, rankings, statistics, and other VETO features. When data is shown in aggregate form, it may not identify you personally.

VETO uses third-party service providers to operate the service. Supabase is our current backend and database infrastructure provider and may also provide authentication services if those features are enabled.

Additional authentication or infrastructure providers may be used if those features are introduced in the future. We select providers that we believe maintain reasonable security and privacy practices.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain legitimate community data, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect the service and our users.

VETO may also retain aggregated or de-identified community information that can no longer reasonably identify you, even after your account is deleted.

VETO uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security, and you should choose a strong password and protect your account credentials.

You may request deletion of your VETO account and associated personal information by contacting us at the email below. After deletion, we will remove or de-identify your personal information as required, but aggregated or de-identified voting statistics and community results may remain when they can no longer reasonably identify you.

VETO may use browser storage, cookies, or similar technologies when reasonably necessary for authentication, security, preferences, anonymous voting limits, and operation of the service.

VETO does not currently use advertising cookies or sell behavioral advertising data based on your activity on the service.

VETO does not currently sell users' personal information for money. We may update this section if we introduce analytics, advertising, sponsorship, or other services that involve sharing information in ways that would change this statement.

VETO is not directed to children under 13. VETO does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as VETO evolves. When material changes are made, we will update the effective date below. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
